Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) 

Join other parents as we provide a place to learn, advocate and support one another on our journey through the world of special education. Hear from speakers, access current information, and network with others. 

The New Jersey Administrative Code indicates that the Board of Education shall establish a parent advisory group in order to provide input to the district concerning students with disabilities NJAC 6A:14-1.2 (h).  The purpose of this group is to provide opportunities for parent and community members to provide input to the Penns Grove-Carenys Point Regional School District on critical issues relating to students with disabilities.  Input from parents, professionals and other stakeholders is essential to insure that we continue to improve our efforts in educating all students for future success.

The Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is currently in the process of scheduling meetings for the2016-17  school year.  Each meeting will encompass a presentation and additional information on aspects of special education based on needs assessments.  We will allocate time for those in attendance to provide input on our special education program.  Information gathered will then be used to decide our future topics for SEPAG meetings and needed changes to consider within our special education program.   Additional Salem County parent groups can be found at the bottom of this page:

The next scheduled meeting date is June 22, 2016.  The meeting will begin at 9:00am at the Lafayette-Pershing School.
